Mr Yek Tiew Ming
Dear Readers,

In about two months, we would bid farewell to year 2007. In considering this, I would think it is a good time where we can reflect on what we have achieved and learnt in the year. As you reflect, I hope the year has been a fruitful one and you may want to consider how we can make it better in 2008.

We marked this final issue for the year by featuring yet again the vibrancy of our College with the many events and activities that we have undertaken. This issue features a wide spectrum of activities from an overseas educational trip to Baguio City, Philippines, by our students to a visit by some Korean students hosted by our students from Bukit Batok campus. In addition, this issue features how the Racial Harmony Day and National Day are commemorated and celebrated in one of our campuses. These commemoration and celebration are important as part of our educational process. Finally, there are also articles on how we developed various skills in our students, how we reached out to schools and our involvement in community services.

The various features in this issue highlight our emphasis in continuously striving for the success of our staff and students. I have highlighted that the success of staff and students is a virtuous cycle that mutually motivates each other. Successful Staff motivate students leading to Student Success. Successful Students motivate Staff leading to further Staff Success. In light of this, I would like to encourage our staff to continue the excellent work in achieving success for our students and ultimately ourselves.

I would also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone year-end best wishes!

Happy reading!
